How To Polish Quartz Worktop

Just make sure you do not use abrasives or sponge cleaners as this could tarnish the polished surface of the quartz worktops.

    

It is best to use a non-abrasive abrasive for quartz in general, but it is safe to use most natural stones and should be cleaned like granite. I tried this with a friend of mine who used a shower and the whole surface was washed off, so it was good.

    

If you have a polished marble surface, you can use a specially formulated marble polishing paste that can help remove scratches and restore the surface. Make sure you use a quartz cleaning product before you rinse off any residues from the quartz surface and before their shine subsides. If you clean and polish your granite countertop and it remains dull and scratched, you will need to apply a new sealing layer. Choose with a dry, polished pad that works the polish into the granite surfaces in a uniform, circular pattern.

    

This produces the shine of the quartz without streaking residues, but damage or discoloration is possible. Quartz countertops for the kitchen can also be repolished and refined like granite or marble, and you can do this by using a special quartz polishing compound in a diamond-polished pad sequence. This process is more difficult, however, as you have to use a power tool to polish the pad with the diamond polishing pad. There is a difference between a quartz worktop and a marble that, in the case of a quartz worktop, is as polished as marble. You can polish quartz slabs to order for different surfaces such as granite, marble and quartz.

    

If soap, water or window cleaner are not your preferred method, you can choose a specialized quartz polisher. There is nothing wrong with producing quartz, but you need a fancy cleaner to clean quartz if soap, water and window cleaner are not your preferred application.

Because acidic food and drinks are avoided, and granite and quartz are not easily caustic.

    

Take the degreaser of your choice and spray it on your quartz worktop to ensure it can be safely applied to quartz. To effectively remove coloured stains from the quartz surface, you must use a quartz detergent to actually work on the stains. Since rough, abrasive detergents can damage the surface of quartz and other quartz surfaces, a soft cloth and mild detergents should be used instead. Make sure you spray with a degreaser that you have safely used for use on quartz. After spraying, polish your surface with your soft, clean cloth with the softest, cleanest cloth you can have.

    

Your quartz countertop will last long as long as you always remember to put your protector on something hot and use a gentle cleaner to keep it clean. If you incorporate this step into your cleaning process, you will have a clean, sparkling quartz worktop for a very long time. Considering this, and following the same steps as cleaning granite when polishing and cleaning quartz counters, your quartz will maintain a pristine condition for many years.
