Vinegar is sometimes recommended for cleaning, but I do not think it should be used on quartz counters. If you need to disinfect a stone countertop, a good alternative is rubbing with alcohol with an alcohol content of 70% or more. Quartz countertops react very well to alcohol, but dilution is required to prevent damage to the quartz. You can also use it as a cleaner for tough stains by mixing it with mild dishwashing soap and warm water.
