Since quartz is man-made and not porous, it does not need to be sealed like natural stone slabs. It is much harder - more susceptible to wear than granite, making it difficult, if not impossible, to damage. It is best to use a non-abrasive abrasive for quartz in general, but it is safe to use most natural stones and should be cleaned like granite.

Quartz countertops for the kitchen can also be repolished and refined like granite or marble, and you can do this by using a special quartz polishing compound in a diamond-polished pad sequence. Make sure you spray with a degreaser that you have safely used for use on quartz. After spraying, polish your surface with your soft, clean cloth with the softest, cleanest cloth you can have.
