 Quartz is an engineered product and is made by natural quartz stone together with other man-made materials and a really tough resin. Quartz is a beautiful material and it’s easy to maintain. Even though it isn’t hard to keep it clean and it’s pretty resilient to stains, you still have to take certain precautions. If you use cleaners that are too abrasive then it will damage the finish and you should clean spills as soon as they happen.  Make sure to avoid all harsher chemicals or abrasive materials when cleaning quartz countertops of any color. These are particularly harmful to lighter surfaces – they can scratch the surface, which shows much more easily on a lighter area than a darker one. Unlike granite or marble, quartz does not need to be resealed annually, overall saving money in the future as well.
