Quartz countertops do not need to be sealed. Quartz is a non-porous material, it is also treated to be bacteriostatic, which means bacteria won’t be able to grow and reproduce on it. Incredibly important for a kitchen or any food preparing surface!
Quartz is heat resistant. But, be careful when using hot pots and pans, or even hot hair tools. However, we must still advise that you continue using the precautionsas you would normally to prevent and lower any risk of damage at all. You should avoid putting these hot pans or pots directly on the countertop, so it’s best to use a hot pad or trivet underneath.
